GÉANT introduces a Students Lightning Talk Challenge. NRENs supporting the programme are invited to nominate passionate IT students from their member audience to give an inspiring Lightning Talk at TNC17 (29 May – 2 June 2017, Linz, Austria).
This is a great opportunity for NRENs to:
- Bring their IT students and projects to an international audience of innovation enablers.
- Gain valuable visibility amongst their member audience as well as in the global research and education networking community.
The GÉANT Learning and Development team will provide a coaching programme to help nominated students get ready for the challenge – max 4 nominations per NREN. After you have approved their participation to this challenge, we ask you to register your nominee at https:/
Registered students will then follow the regular procedure for acceptance by the TNC17 Programme Committee. Selected students will give a 5 minute Lightning Talk at TNC17 and get a fully sponsored ticket to the conference, including travel and accommodation.
Reach out to the students in your community and get them to share a brilliant idea in IT and Networks. To help promote this exciting programme we have created a wiki and some material that can be used to support your communication to teachers and lecturers as well as on social media, websites or in university newsletters.
The materials are editable and available from the wiki. Alternatively get in touch with Nadia Sluer at to help with this.
Registration: from 08 Feb to 7 March at https:/
