    On 1 February 2015 the PRACE-4IP project began and a kick-off meeting open for project participants took place on the VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava campus in Ostrava on 28-29 April 2015. PRACE aisbl and its Members collaborate in the PRACE-4IP project, which is a 27 month project funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The project is coordinated by Forschungzentrum Jülich (JUELICH) on behalf of PRACE aisbl.

    PRACE-4IP is designed to build on and seamlessly continue the successes of the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE) and start new innovative and collaborative activities that fit with the main objectives of the PRACE-4IP project

A second call for applications was launched on 10 November 2014 and closed on 15 January 2015. A Selection Committee consisting of representatives of the PRACE Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC), the PRACE Board of Directors (BoD) and the PRACE IP Project reviewed all applications and awarded 11 innovative projects submitted by European SMEs access to PRACE Tier-0 systems.
